Occupational Safety and Health in Latvia

Fire safety (20 h.)

Further education programme "FIRE SAFETY", 20 hours, in accordance with the training programme developed by the State Fire and Rescue Service. After completing the programme, a person at a business site and a public site where 10 to 50 people may be present, as well as at a business site with an explosive environment, is entitled to:

  • draw up fire safety instructions
  • give fire safety briefings
  • organise practical classes
  • inspect fire hydrants and the internal fire-fighting water supply

Legal act: Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 238 "Fire safety regulations".
